Our Story
In October of 2022, a traumatic spinal cord injury changed everything for Irene.
Irene's injury was a devastating moment in her life. She was told that she would not walk and would need assistance for the rest of her life. These statements were hard to hear especially at the beginning of her recovery. However, she was determined to prove the doctors and nurses wrong. In fact that became her mantra during recovery, Prove Them Wrong. Irene's tenacity and dedication enabled her to walk again. Now, Irene hopes that her motto and perseverance can inspire others.
Prove them Wrong was created to be your daily reminder that anything is possible.
She currently gives back by donating a “Prove Them Wrong” bracelet for every sweatshirt sold. The bracelets go to the pediatric patients at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and Children’s Hospital where she did inpatient rehab.
